Welcome
The Jimmy Doolittle Air and Space Museum Foundation is proud to welcome you to the Travis Air Museum exhibits building. The Museum's exhibits are an adventure in time travel. The exhibits provide connections from one time to another. From the wings of Icarus to space exploration, the documents, photographs, artifacts and stories provide a unique public educational opportunity for youth, students, and scholars of all ages.

Aircraft, missiles, and thousands of artifacts are on display within the Museum. On display are mint condition aircraft, military uniforms dating back to 1916, original copies of the "Stars and Stripes" newspaper, Doolittle Raider artifacts, and crash debris from the 1950 B-29 crash that changed the base's name from Fairfield-Suisun to Travis Air Force Base. There are special displays devoted to Jimmy H. Doolittle's WW II raid and life story, the Tuskegee Airmen, and the Vietnam War. A special section of the Museum pays tribute to "Operation Star-lift" when celebrities entertained Korean War wounded at Travis AFB. From Doris Day to Joe Louis they were there.
